Tips & Best Practices

  • Automatic orientation detection is much faster than clicking through a long scan by hand — let it propose the rotation and correct the few it gets wrong.
  • Rotation is stored as a page attribute, so nothing is re-compressed and there is no quality loss.
  • If a page looks right in one viewer but not another, the file is fine — some older readers ignore the rotation flag.
  • Duplex scans often produce alternating upside-down pages. Select every second page and rotate those together.
