Frequently Asked Questions

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

There is no fixed limit on the number of files. The practical ceiling is your device's memory, since every page is held in RAM while merging. Merging a few dozen ordinary documents is routine; several hundred megabytes of scans at once may be slow on a phone.

Can I change the order before merging?

Yes. After you add the files, each one appears as a card you can drag into position. The merged PDF follows the order shown on screen, top to bottom.

Are bookmarks and links kept?

Internal page links and form fields are carried over. Document-level outlines (bookmarks) from the source files are not rebuilt into a combined outline — if you need one, merge first and then use Edit Bookmarks to add it.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Merging happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to PDFox or any other server, and the merged file is written straight to your downloads folder.
